Discover the noise removal app worth hearing about!

HeardThat app AI using the power of a smartphone to separate speech from noise

After a successful prerelease period, HeardThat has officially launched!

The award-winning speech enhancement app, developed by Singular Hearing and available for both iOS and Android, announced its full release after successfully capturing the attention of thousands of active users, showing impressive growth, and receiving successful product validation.

The ongoing issue of background noise

Understanding speech in background noise has been recognized as a problem for years, and it affects people across a broad range of the hearing spectrum. However, existing speech assistance technologies haven’t effectively addressed the issue because they haven’t been smart enough to know which sounds are speech and which are noise. As a result, many people end up avoiding social situations, leading to social isolation and the serious consequences of that.

HeardThat, however, takes a different approach, one that separates speech from noise to provide an exciting new option to help people stay connected.

How does the app work?

By using the power of a smartphone to run sophisticated artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms, HeardThat separates speech from noise, which dramatically reduces  listening effort and makes conversations significantly more intelligible in venues like restaurants, coffee shops, or family gatherings.

A major benefit of HeardThat is that it is all done in software, no new devices are required. Users simply connect their phones to their Bluetooth-enabled hearing aids, cochlear implants or earbuds and open HeardThat to enjoy the benefits of hearing more voice and less noise.

“Unlike the other apps, it works. ... I am really enthusiastic about this!,” said a satisfied user of the app.

So what exactly does this full launch represent?

“Since HeardThat’s early release, our AI experts have worked tirelessly to improve ease of use, and recognize more types of noise and devices,” said Singular Hearing founder and CEO Bruce Sharpe.

This extensive research and user testing resulted in major improvements in the quality and usability of the app. In addition, objective laboratory measurements have confirmed that HeardThat significantly increases intelligibility and reduces listening effort.

With this full release, HeardThat introduces a subscription-based pricing model. Both new and current users will have access to a one-month free trial period, after which they will have the option to become a paid subscriber for only $9.99 USD a month (or $99.99 USD a year). After the trial period of unlimited usage, users will be able to use the app for 30 minutes a week for free.
